So, we’ve been doing all those end of summer things that take up so much time. Trying to squeeze everything in before it starts raining again. I have made a few things in between, but need to get some pictures taken with my crappy camera before actually post about them.
I thought I’d share a few of the fun things we’ve been doing of late, and then I’ll follow it up with a totally random thought. Here goes…
Dave and I hiked Mt. Si yesterday. It was a really nice hike and a wonderful day. Hayla had graciously agreed to take the kids for the day. She’s got three, so really, what’s two more? We do owe her now though. Here we are at the top of the very tall and pointy mountain.
Okay, here we are in our entirety.
We’ve also had three weddings to attend over the summer, with a fourth coming up this very weekend. Here are the girls at the last one. Our kids really know how to party.
Actually, I shouldn’t judge. I’m pretty sure they get wrestling in party dresses from their mom and aunt (aka Hayla and me), but I won’t be attaching a photo of that.
The girls and I spent the holiday weekend in Ellensburg while Dave was rafting in Oregon with the boys.
There was a lot of riding.
And playing in the dirt. You can barely see the little one off to the right, stomping in the puddles. They haven’t learned yet that leather boots aren’t the same as rubber boots; nor do they care.
Okay, here’s something random.
I know that most fashion comes back around when the time is right, but for whatever reason, I got a really uncomfortable feeling inside when I looked at this cover and saw the light denim shirt and the white turtleneck. Really? I’m certainly no expert in the area of fashion, but I simply find it hard to believe that we’ve come full circle with the denim shirts. Too soon. Now I’m wondering if she’s wearing knit stirrup pants and we just can’t see them…
