It’s a Father’s Day miracle! I finished a project on time (in the nick of time).
Out of this…(two pair of the girls’ corduroy pants – love corduroy pants on a toddler; and a bunch of Aunt Lori’s stash)
And this…(Dave’s gross pillow stuffing (the casing disintegrated a long time ago) that he hasn’t been able to part with since he got it when his house burned down at age four)
I made this…(an extra long bolster with the stuffing inside (I washed it first)
Behind each of the girls’ pant pieces is some embroidery…
Ta-da!
There are also two buttons you can’t see very well in these photos, that are handpainted wood ones my grandma gave me a long time ago that I’ve always really liked but never had a use for. I offset the pants patches on purpose when the piece was still flat, but now that it’s all bolstery, I kind of wish I hadn’t. Dave loves it though. He’s already watched one movie with it stuffed under his chin, so I’m happy.
