So, this is the longest break I’ve taken from this blog so far and most of it was spent in Mexico with our good friends Rena and Jack. It was a great break from EVERYTHING – no kids, t.v., phone, internet, kids, email – seriously, the only cell we took was one without email, and that was just for emergencies and was locked in the safe the entire trip – awesome. Did I mention, no kids?

I’ve got so much neat stuff to add, I could probably do 5 posts today if nap time lasted that long, but I want to start specifically by showing off the super cute toddler bed that Dave made for O this week. He got an itch to build a bed I guess because he just said he was going to do it one night after work and ran to the store to pick up a sheet of plywood and then, a few hours later, voila! The cutest bed I’ve ever seen. (It still needs paint, but we were excited to get her into it.)

Daddy’s happy too…

It’s really nice to be married to someone who can build a functional piece of furniture. Oh, and who also has a bit of an artistic flair…notice the design in the background is an abstract “O”. I’m a lucky girl.
