Well it’s a little lonely here today, but at least I get to drink my chai and sew in peace. Love to see piles of sewey stuff lying around my little space downstairs…

I had a super productive week and my friend Jen came for a visit (well, work conference in the city, but still…I just pretended she was here only for me). We even made stuff together which was super fun.

Jen chose the stuff and I made her a bag…

…even Carl helped a bit.

And Dave sort of hung out with us, while doing his best to tune us out. There’s something comforting about having an extra body in the corner reading a book throughout the creative process though…

…it’s just like 1988, except we didn’t drink cocktails back then…and we neglected to create a new dance routine to show our moms this time around.

So, here’s the tiny hand bag she ended up with

cute, right? yeah, except it wouldn’t open more than enough to barely get a hand in (as long as the user was not making a fist). So, I had to fix it and this is the final product that actually opens for objects larger than a stick of gum.

Oh, and I finally made a sort of matching snack tote for Olive since Ramona’s had hers for a while and it works out wonderfully.
