Granola is so good, but really expensive to buy, so I’ve been making my own and it’s really easy and fast and tasty. You should try it. Here’s the way I do it…
Put all these things into a bowl…
1 cup chopped nuts (your favorite kind)
4 cups oats
¼ cup packed brown sugar
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup melted butter
¼ cup honey
…and mix them up.
Then, put it all into a medium to large size baking dish. Just about anything will work as long as it’s oven-safe. The point is to spread it out a bit so it all gets toasted. I use a 9×13 inch glass dish, or a 10 inch round stone dish.
Bake it at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes. Mix it up with a spoon a couple of times during the baking process.
Voila!
You can freeze or refrigerate it. I’m not sure how long it will keep, but seems to be quite a while…
